A long time ago (pre beta) I suggested something like this (but simpler)
I really wish it would get implemented...I want a fat w/mo and a sexy r/n!
As for the face...perhaps just have the eyes/nose/mouth/face-shape all selectable seporately

Like I just said in another thread. I saw Many many option in face styles in a webbroacast interview about Arenanet, and we have yet to see those in an event yet. But may well show up in Factions yet... Seems like that will be the case...

Has anyone thought about having armour customisation at the start of the game? It’s lame going round at the start of the game as new char and everyone there looks identical, ok now they have added the use of colour but still I don’t think that is enough.
Wouldn’t it be nice if each char has a small selection of cloths each with the same armour class but just looked different? Just so you could have a little bit of customisation. However you are only in it for awhile until you have spoken to all the collectors but you extend it to armour as well.
You could choose from a selection of different styles for example. Gothic or heroic. Gothic could have pictures of devils or scary looking images engraved into the armour. While heroic you have little armour at all but will cool designs on. A bit like the gladiator armour but with a little bit more plate. Do you understand what I mean?

If that's true I really hope they'd let existing user a chance to recustomize their characters

I am pretty sure with the release of chapter two they are going to be more faces and such to choose from for even the exsisting classes - but that would require re-making characters.
I also think you should be able to customize the bodies a bit more lol

I would like to customise the emotes...my ranger has a great /ready, my monk has a great /excited, and my necro has a great /dance. Shame you can't have it all in one character....one of the ways to influence you to try out the different professions i guess...

I like that idea as well - I like the ranger dance and the way they sit, but i prefer the necromancer/elementalist guitar.
I think it would be neat if you had a warrior for example and could type /rangerdance or /monkdance and do the dance. It might not LOOK that good but it'd be neat all the same

I'm going to bring this thread up again because with Factions (erhm clone wars) new professions got so few face & hairstyle that every 2nd assassin looks same..
It's a shame that there isn't variety in styles.
Sims 2 / Tiger Woods style generator would be dream come true but that kind of thing might take lot of time to make.
Another thing: Emotes.....why new proffs have same emotes as old ones (except dances). Saves time from developers yes, but again everything looks same.
